The knife is great and was sharp out of the box. The only issue I had was the clip was to tight. I always add a deep carry clip when possible. Once I put the Benchmade deep carry clip on it is great.

I was gifted a 9400 black blade and I bought a 9400 satin blade 4 days ago at the Wanenmacher gun show in Tulsa. If you have not made that trip best do it soon. These knives are some better than I expected. 65 years of auto ownership is helpful in determining the status of an automatic knife. These 9400s are artwork, artwork that will last and last. You could edc these knives for 40 years as a concrete finisher, they would not be green or very little black on the blade but the action would still be snappy and the blade could be like a razor. The Good- 940 and everything about it maybe even better. Less screws. No liner. When you press the button you better hold on because the blade comes out with force. My 9400 came very sharp, centered, and with the deepest darkest green anodization that I've seen. Looks black under yellow lighting. Very chalky too. Functions well right out of the box good strong snap very light feel would like it better if the handles were more hefty feeling other than that it's been a good knive would definitely recommend to anybody
